Saturday 1st October sees Dagenham & Redbridge kick off The Football League's Family Football Festival with entertainment for the whole family in their npower League 2 match against Crewe Alexandra.
There will be fun filled activities for all the family to enjoy before, during and after the match including:
• Face painting
• Kids fancy dress competition
• Half time competition
The Family Football Festival aims to encourage families to enjoy time together at an exciting Football League game.
Running from October to December, the festival sees family activities taking place across participating Football League clubs this autumn.
Spread over 47 npower Football League matches, the festival will feature tailored family entertainment before, during and after matches. Details of the fixtures and activities are available through www.facebook.com/familyfootball.
David Malkinson, Head of Marketing at The Football League, feels that football should be enjoyed by everyone, "We feel very strongly that football is a sport that appeals to the whole family.
