Jon is now in his third season with the Club having joined in January 2007 from Rochdale. Jon was born in Reading in January 1981 and began his career at Crystal Palace as a trainee. During 2001 he gained experience with loan spells at Conference sides Woking and Margate before signing permanently for the Cards in March 2002.
An England semi-pro International, he spent two seasons at the heart of the defence at Kingfield, playing 125 games before joining Coca Cola League Two side Rochdale in the summer of 2005 where he made 20 appearances. Upon his Daggers arrival Jon formed a formidable partnership with Anwar Uddin before picking up a leg injury and missing the last ten games of the Conference title winning season.
The no nonsense defender played in the Clubs first football league game at Stockport County. Jon has powerful heading ability when defending and at set pieces at the other end but failed to add to his one goal scored the previous season.
