Having won the Bishops Stortford player of the year honour in 2001 and 2003, John Still made Glen his first signing upon his return to the Club, paying an undisclosed five figure fee. Prior to Woodside Park, Glen played as a youth for Fulham and Spurs and in the semi-professional game for Boreham Wood and Enfield. He was a regular in the England Semi-Pro side winning 13 caps along the way. Glen played his first Football League game in the Clubs first match of the season at Stockport. An ever present until the last game of the season his physical fitness was evident throughout and although a playmaker, he can also tackle if required.
