The referee for tomorrow's npower League Two clash between the Daggers & Rotherham United will be Mr Brendan Malone. Mr Malone was promoted to the Football League's national referees list during the summer of 2010, at the age of 42. Mr Malone is a former county league footballer who had to retire from the game at the age of 23 due to a knee injury.
He took up refereeing as a result, and ran the line at League level for several years. He has assisted in the first leg of a Championship Play-Off semi-final and ran the line in the 2008 Johnstone's Paint Trophy Cup Final between MK Dons and Grimsby at Wembley Stadium. Mr Malone's last visit to the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium was in September for the visit of Oxford United whilst his last Millers game was in October 2010 at Barnet FC.
Mr Malone will be assisted by Mr S Butler & Mr J Hillier, whilst Mr D Blunden will be the 4th official.
