Npower League One Southampton have today signed young Daggers defender Harlee Dean on a two year contract.

The Basingstoke born nineteen year-old came through the Daggers youth system and made one first team appearance for the Club against Port Vale in October 2009 as a substitute.

To give him more experience he had loan spells at Redbridge, Bishops Stortford, Thurrock and Grays Athletic.

He was transfer listed at the end of last season after contract negotiations ended.

With Harlee being under-24 an undisclosed compensation payment has been made to the Daggers from the Saints for his acquisition.
