Player Issues 21/08/10

Posted on: Thu 26 Aug 2010

Perform Group, the company that hosts the FLi websites, has apoligised for the brief 'outage' suffered by Player Subscribers across the country last Saturday.

At around 2.40pm there was a major log-in issue for subscibers to all Player sites - not just the Daggers'. At 2.58pm Perform restarted their DNS Server, allowing users to log-in for 10 minutes, and that was during a peak time. In total more than 12,000 commentary streams were accessed during this peak 10 minute period.

The DNS Server then started to fail again at 3.10pm, which meant log-in to Player was intermittent from 3.10pm-3.45pm. Engineers were able to isolate and fix the issue at 3.50pm and there were no further issues in the second half.
