Daggers defeat Thurrock
The Daggers defeated their local rivals with a second half performance that was too strong for the Blue Square Bet side. Having fallen behind to a tremendous strike from Matt Bodkin, the visitors wore down their opponents and scored three times after the interval.
The opening goal came on 22 minutes and saw Thurrock's Matt Bodkin blast the ball home from a good 25-yards giving Chris Lewington no chance.
Paul Benson won a penalty on 33 minutes when he was upended by a Thurrock defender. He dusted himself down and fired the ball home for the equaliser.
Half time saw a host of substitutions and the Daggers stepped up a gear. Two minutes after the interval and Mark Arber's header from a corner was blocked on the line. The loose ball hit Graeme Montgomery on the backside and went into the net for the second Dagenham goal.
On 61 minutes a Danny Green corner from the left evaded Montgomery at he near post and Gavin Tomlin scored his second in as many games with a header at the far post. The scoring was complete in the 86th minute. The hard working Tomlin broke down the left and found Danny Green arriving in the centre with a perfectly weighted ball for the winger to score the fourth.
