Dartford friendly result

Posted on: Sun 11 Jul 2010

In soaring temperatures at Princes Park the Daggers left Dartford with a 1-3 defeat.

The Darts opened the scoring on 19 minutes when Tom Bonner scored with a header at the far post. The home side were two goals up just after the half-hour from Elliot Bradbrook with a left foot rocket which gave Lewington no chance.

Luke Wilkinson twice went close in a minute for the Daggers. First he forced the Darts goalkeeper |Andrew Young to push the ball onto bar and then from the resulting corner he headed just wide.

On 41 minutes, Tony Evans clipped the ball just wide and a minute later as the Daggers pressed for a goal. A minute later it arrived when Lee Wooton headed home a Darren Currie free kick from the right.

The Daggers tried to get back into the match as substitute Sam Butler's shot from the six yard area was well saved by Andrew Young. But the game was settled when former Dagger Ollie Berquez was on target on 75 minutes with a curled effort from the edge of the area. A minute later Walsh almost pulled a goal back but headed just over.
