The Daggers face Colchester United tonight in the Essex Senior Cup, Supported by BBC Essex 103.5, semi final at the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium.
The winners will face the victors of the other semi final taking place on the same night between AFC Hornchurch and Chelmsford City.
Last season Chelmsford City won the cup in the final, staged at Dagenham, and defeated both the Daggers and Colchester United on the way to the final.
It's eight seasons since the Daggers last made the final of the competition when they were forced to play Canvey Island at Roots Hall with a youth side due to having a Conference game at Hereford the following night. Canvey won that game, gaining revenge for the Daggers victory over them at the start of that season in a final held over from the 2000/01 season.
Prior to that goals from Courtney Naylor and Paul Cobb gave the Daggers a 2-1 victory over Thurrock in 1997/8 at Ship Lane in their only other final appearance.
Colchester United were in action yesterday evening against Brighton & Hove Albion in Coca Cola League One, drawing 0-0, but have named a very strong side for the game as have the Daggers.
The game kicks off at 7.30pm and all fans will be able to experience the seats in the Marcus James Stand at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. The four page match programme will cost 50p
If the game is all-square at 90 minutes a further 30 minutes will take place with penalties available should the winner still not be decided.
