Doe Appeal

Posted on: Mon 25 Jan 2010

The Daggers have today faxed over the required paperwork to launch an appeal against the sending off of defender Scott Doe at Shrewsbury on Saturday. The former Weymouth man was adjudged by match referee Craig Pawson to have elbowed Terry Dunfield as the Shrewsbury player burst through towards the penalty area.

After studiying the match video the Daggers team management feel that Scott is innocent of the elbow decision and so have asked the Football Association to review the incident. Having notified the FA that they will be appealing, Dagenham & Redbridge now have 48 hours to get the appeal letter, appeal costs and match video to the FA headquarters and hope to deliver it in person well before then.

**  Update 25/01/10 **
The Club delivered the video to the FA headquarters this morning (Monday) and the appeal is being held this afternoon. The result should be known early evening and will be announced on this website.
