Dagenham & Redbridge have completed the signing of Chesterfield winger Darren Currie on a permanent basis, having received the confirmation paperwork this afternoon.

The former Luton player joined the Daggers on loan at the end of November and has now agreed an 18-month deal with John Still`s side.

John Still was keen to wrap up the free signing saying, "With the young wingers we have in Danny Green, Graeme Montgomery and Steven Demetriou, he is also a fine example for them to learn from."

Meanwhile Young full back Alex Bentley has joined Bishops Stortford on loan for a month.
