FA Youth Cup result

The Daggers crashed out of this seasons FA Youth cup in the first round at Woking and saw Steve Demetriou sent off. Despite taking the lead in the first half they succumbed to three second half goals at the Kingfield Stadium and their hosts now face a trip to the Valley to face Charlton Athletic in the second round.

On just three minutes a dangerous Anson Cousins strick low just past the post but it was the Daggers who took the lead in the 14th minute with a great individual goal from Jay Nash. The midfielder picked up the ball on the half way line and rode several challenges before blasting home a left footed effort which crashed against the back stanchion.

Just six minutes later the Daggers almost most it 2-0 when a good team build up was frantically cleared. The moved was started by Nash and Dennis Louis and almost finished off by captain Wooton.

The home side equalised on 54 minutes. Anson Cousins attempted to round the visiting keeper but was caught and the referee awarded the Cards a penalty. Cousins took the spot kick himself to net Woking's opener. Five minutes later and the hosts took the lead. Ollie Palmer met a cross from the left with a diving header. Woking notched their third goal in a nine minute spell when Ola Sogbanmu headed home a corner from close range.

Eight minutes from time any hope of rescuing the tie were ended when Steve Demetriou was shown a second yellow card to reduce them to ten men.
