Birmingham City friendly

Tonight the Daggers welcome Alex McLeish and his Birmingham City first team to the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.

Birmingham squad for tonight:
Maik Taylor, Colin Doyle, Roger Johnson, Scott Dann, Stephen Carr, Stuart Parnaby, Martin Taylor, Barry Ferguson, Sebastian Larsson, Gary McSheffrey, James McFadden, Jared Wilson, Keith Fahey, Lee Bowyer, Marcus Bent, Cameron Jerome.

This will be the Blues first friendly in the UK after a pre-season tour in Austria.

Birmingham City results in Austria:
Lost 0-2 v VfB Stuttgart (Am See Stadium)
Lost 0-2 v FC Augsburg (Westerndorf Stadium)
Lost 0-3 v Saudi Arabian side, Al Hilal (Leogang Stadium) 

This will be the second time the two teams have played against each other with the first game back in 2007 on 31st July. The Daggers defeated a City XI, 4-1. Goalscorers that night were, Magnus Okuonghae, Chris Moore, Shane Huke and an own goal. Wheeler scored for Birmingham

For the Daggers it's going to be a tough work out against the Premiership new boys but John Still's men are having a very good pre-season to date with six wins in eight matches. The recent win came on Monday night against Braintree Town with Wesley Thomas and Tommy Tejan-Sie on the mark.

Last Saturday the Daggers defeated, Southend United 2-0. Paul Benson who signed a contract extension only this week scored both the goals.
