A youthful Daggers XI were unfortunate in this evenings friendly at Blue Square Premier Grays Athletic, going down 2-1 in the closing stages.

Harlee Dean put the Daggers ahead on 19 minutes and Daniel Charge thought he'd put the visitors further ahead only to see his effort ruled out for offside. Grays, playing their full first team, almost equalised in the second period when Jamie Slabber managed to slip the ball past Chris Lewington but the ball came back off the post. As the Daggers started to tire Grays took advantage and Slabber equalised on 86 minutes before Serge Makofo scored the winner two minutes later. Grays also included former Dagger Richard Graham in their starting line up.
