Leyton Orient friendly

Posted on: Sun 01 Mar 2009
On Wednesday afternoon the Daggers took on Leyton Orient in a friendly match at the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium.
It was a good work-out for the Daggers in a team, which included a host of squad players and trialists. It was a welcome back to the stadium for ex Dagger, Paul Terry who was in the starting line-up in a very strong Leyton Orient squad. The two trailists in the Daggers side were two defenders, Ritchie Jones from Northampton Town and Clayton Fortune from Darlington.
The visitors took the lead just shy of the half-hour as JJ Melligan fired home from just outside of the penalty area. Moments after the re-start of the second half the O's were two goals to the good after an error in the Daggers defence, gave the goalscorer, Melligan to take advantage and cross for Ryan Jarvis to score.

Jarvis grabbed his second of the afternoon three minutes later with a long-range shot, which deflicted on the way towards the target giving David Hogan no chance in the Daggers goal. Ex Dagger, Paul Terry did found the net late on but his effort was disallowed for offisde.

Daggers: David Hogan, Ritchie Jones, Anwar Uddin, Clayton Fortune, Bi-Mas Lettejallow, Billy Bingham, Tommy Tejan-Sie, Solomon Taiwo (Harlee Dean), Graeme Montgomery, Wesley Thomas, Daniel Charge (Hakeen Araba).

O's: Glenn Morris, Andrew Cave-Brown, Brian Saah, Luke Ashworth, Danny Granville, JJ Melligan, Paul Terry, Dean Morgan, Loick Pires, Wayne Gray (Harry Beautman 70 mins), Ryan Jarvis.
