The Daggers lost by a single goal to their South East London neighbours. The home side gave a debut to Connor Read who was signed before kick off.
Dagenham & Redbridge made a bright start to the proceedings with good running from Nash and strong tackling of Hurlock. The home side suffered a blow on 31 minutes when keeper Mason Durrell was carried off following a clearance, but unfortunately clashed with an opponents leg. Striker Billy Pike took the gloves in the absence of a spare keeper.
The Daggers continued to dominate in the early part of the second half, but suffered another blow on 65 minutes when a MIllwall set piece was headed home by Kieran Mason.
The reds continued to push and nearly shared the points when Jay Nash's effort was saved.
After the game captain Charlie Hurlock commented "It was a good performance, but conceded a sloppy goal. We competed well and will have to do better in our next game"
