The Daggers come from behind to grab a point at Underhill courtesy of Mark Nwokeji just after the hour mark.
John Still made three changes from the last league match against Rotherham United. Magnus Okuonghae was suspended, Peter Gain out after an operation and Paul Benson missing as his wife is expecting a baby at any moment. New signing from Wealdstone, Graeme Montgomery was on the bench.
The first goal arrived in the 13th minute when a Sam Saunders shot went straight into Ran Kadoch's arms. Barnet then broke wide from Albert Adomah where his pass found Paul O'Flynn. O'Flynn then cut inside Scott Griffiths and drove a low shot, which took a slight defection, beating Tony Roberts at the near post to give Barnet an early lead.
Joe Devera's long range shot was just over the bar on 22 minutes and on the half hour Strevens cut inside and fired a 20 yard out effort straight into Kadoch's arms. Three minutes later Strevens went close with a header just past the post from a Saunders cross.
On the stroke of half-time Neal Bishop fouled Southam and up stepped Saunders to curl the free-kick just over the bar.
Six minutes into the second half Bishop lost the ball to Saunders and the Daggers midfielder beat two challenges to fire inches past the upright. Three minutes later Scott Griffiths tried is luck from 35 yards with a volley but over the bar.
The Daggers had a good spell in the opening exchanges of the second half and it was Southam who also went close for the Daggers from a cleared corner with low drive to pick the pieces but the ball sailed wide.
Barnet's good work down the wing nearly paid off from Admomah's laid off to O'Flynn and his effort hit Uddin's arm, which the referee waved play on from the Barnet protests.
The Daggers reward for the second half pressure was the equaliser on 64 minutes. A high ball from the back from Danny Foster saw Ben Strevens put the Barnet goalkeeper Kadoch underpressure and the loose ball fell to Mark Nwoekji to fire into an unguarded net.
In the last quarter of the game the match there was hardly any incident's but a number of yellow cards and a sending off, which saw Michael Leary given his marching orders for a second yellow card following a high challenge on Southam.
Just a few minutes before the red card Southam's quick pass to Nurse on the wing gave the Barbados international a run towards goal but his final effort across goal was just wide of the right hand post. It was to be Nurse's final action after picking up an injury after only being on the field for a matter of minutes. Graeme Montgomery replaced Nurse to make his debut, which would only last for about one minute.
Just after the game at 5.15pm Paul Benson became a father. His partner Jess, gave birth to a girl named, Ruby. weighing 8lbs 9oz. Congraulations to Paul and Jess.
