The Daggers have this morning completed the signing of midfielder Graeme Montgomery on a two-and-a-half year deal.

The ambitious former Wealdstone midfielder has been snapped up by Daggers boss John Still after impressing on a short trial last month.

The 20-year-old who trained with Watford and Yeovil Town at the start of the season has quit his admin post with Hertford Council.

"It is a massive step up but it is something I'm really looking forward to," Said Graeme. "Dagenham have got great facilities and have a good team that are doing well this season.

"They like to play good football and John is pushing them in the right direction. It is a good club where I can continue to learn my trade. I am not used to the full time game or league experience, and it will be a bit of a lifestyle change for me as I will be training every day.

"I'm going to get my head down, work hard and try and impress the manager enough to warrant a first team place."

Part of the transfer deal that takes Montgomery to the Daggers will see him return in the summer to face his former team mates in a pre season friendly at Grosvenor Vale.
