The Daggers finished 2008 with a disappointing defeat to basement side Aldershot Town at the Military Stadium this morning. The daggers made nine changes from the last game including a debut for Daniel Abioye.
Aldershot attacked the Daggers from the off and Burbridge had to save with his feet on 17 minutes. The Shots dominated throughout the half and Reece Connolly headed over just before the break.
Following strong words from the management team at the break and change of personnel, it was hoped for better things. Unfortunately for the visitors, Aldershot continued to dominate, Cox fired a 20 yard shot, which was well saved again by Burbridge. The Daggers first effort of the game came on 61 minutes when Abioye crossed for Hunwicks who shot just wide.
On 63 minutes the hosts took the lead. A throw from the left was picked up by Pearson who shot from 25 yards into the roof of the net and eight minutes latert made it two goals to nil, when a Casey cross was knocked home unmarked by Connolly.
