Academy result this morning

The Daggers will be pleased with a point from this morning's league match at a muddy May and Bakers pitch. The home side made wholesale changes from Wednesday's FA Youth Cup win at Banbury, Lee Goodwin made eight changes from the starting line up.

Dagger's next game is expected to be away to Millwall in the FA Youth Cup 2nd Round on Monday 17th November 7pm kick off, with next Saturday's league game away to Aldershot being postponed. This will be confirmed on Monday.
Team: Burbridge, Hunwicks, Cuthbert, Adams, Cooper, Wootton, Pooley, Norcott (Pike 65), Cassius, Amponsah (Hurlock 79, Bland (Matthews 68).
In a first half that was even for long periods, Tyrone Cassius on 14 minutes had a long range effort that was saved by the goalkeeper. On 22 minutes Colchester United had the best effort of the half when an effort was deflected past Burbridge, but also the right hand post.
Dagenham & Redbridge came out strong in the second half and Cassius was again in the action this time striking the bar from just outside the area. The reds continued to push and was rewarded on 86 minutes when following a Luke Cuthbert freekick, the ball fell to Cassius who scored sweetly on his left foot for a deserved lead. Just two minutes remaining Colchester equalised following a near post header.
