The Daggers started well in this FA Youth Cup tie and it was Charlie Hurlock with our first chance on six minutes but the home side goalkeeper saved well.

The visitors went very close to take the lead on 23 minutes when Michael Amponsah 25 yards spectative shot struck the bar.

Three minutes later Banbury had their first effort on goal from a free-kick but Mason Durrell was there with a good save.

Then on 38 minutes after a goalmouth scramble it was left for Horne to score in the box for Banbury United to give the home side the lead.

Lee Goodwin's team responded very well and just two minutes later Ricky Reid scored his first of two goals. Steven Demetriou who had an outstanding game crossed for Reid and made no mistake with a first time effort.

The second goal arrived just four minutes later and was a equivalent to the first with Demetriou's cross finding Reid and he struck home in the six-yard box.

Just after the hour the Daggers had a good ten minute spell with Lewis Bourne, Tyrone Cassius and Amponsah going close with the latter bringing out a good save from the Banbury goalkeeper.

Mason Durrell in the Daggers goal denied Bedding the Banbury striker with a good save and maintain our lead on 74 minutes.

In the final minute, James Norcott's effort was saved but seconds later the final whistle ended the match and a trip to the New Den against Millwall in the next round.
