The Daggers suffered a disappointing defeat at Brighton on Saturday morning. Albion were out the blocks from the off and Burbridge had to make a good save to deny the early goal.

On 19 minutes, Brighton took the lead when a through ball was picked up by the Brighton forward to slot home passed the on rushing keeper. Brighton dictated the opening period, which brought Robbie Garvey to change things after 30 minutes.

Three minutes later Dagenham were awarded a penalty for a push that went unnoticed by all, except for the referee. Lewis Bourne effort was saved.

After the break, the visitors came out a different side, with the wind behind them, Wren and Demetriou constantly caused trouble into the box, but could not find the vital touch. With time running out a 89th minute breakaway, lead to Brighton's number 10 to struck home from the edge of the area.

After the game Robbie Garvey said he was disappointed with the first 20 minutes when the reds did not get out of the blocks. The second half was more pleasing.
The Daggers hope to return to winning ways next Saturday at home to Gillingham 10.30am kick off.
