The Daggers Academy defeated Leyton Orient, 3-2 away in the Puma Youth League this morning after coming back 1-2 down at half-time.

Today's result was our first win in the league after two draws and one defeat.

"The game was played on a bumpy pitch  and we were 1-2 down at half time. But after a quick team talk at the break we managed to change the game and controlling the second half . An excellent performance today from the boys and the squad are going in the right direction."

Robbie Garvey speaking after the match.

The home side took the lead on 10 minutes with a header, however the Daggers equalised a minute later from Charlie Hurlock. An Alfie Wren free-kick caused problems in the Orient defence and there was Hurlock to tap home.

A header from a corner kick on 28 minutes gave the home side the lead again. But once again the Daggers were back on level terms with a superb volley from Michael Amponsah on 53 minutes.

The winner for the Daggers arrived just five minutes later when Sonny Adams unmarked headed home from a Steven Demetriou corner.

The O's pushed hard for an equaliser but the Daggers defence held out well to give us a well deserved victory.
