The Dagenham & Redbridge Academy opened the league season with a 0-0 draw against Aldershot Town in the Puma Youth Alliance League.

"The players looked quite nervous at the start of the match but created a number of chances, which was pleasing. The opposition changed the formation at half time to try and combat us but the game opened up. We could have taken a couple of chances but a 0-0 draw was a fair result."
