Dagenham and Redbridge goalkeeper Chris Lewington, left-back Femi Ilesanmi and striker Alex Osborn have been released.

25-year-old shot stopper, Lewington joined the Daggers in 2009, learning his trade from then goalkeeper, Tony Roberts.

Chris went from strength to strength and following Roberts' retirement from playing stepped up and became the Daggers number one.

He has made a total of 45 appearances this season and during his time at the Daggers has racked up an impressive 143 total appearances.

Daggers defender, Femi joined the club in the summer of 2010 after impressing in the pre-season campaign.

The 23-year-old spent his first two months at the club out on loan at Histon before returning to the Daggers and cementing his place in the starting line-up.

Osborn signed on a three year deal in 2010 when he came to the club from Grays Athletic.

During the 20-year-olds time at the club he has been on loan at Thurrock, Chelmsford, Billericay and most recently Ebbsfleet.

The striker never managed to break through into the Daggers first team squad and had yet to make his first appearance.

The players’ contracts were due to end in June.

The club wish all three players every success in their future careers and thank them for their contribution to the club during their time here.

Wayne Burnett said: “It’s always sad to see players leave, I’ve been part of their development and careers and I will always want them to do well.

“Lewington made a decision that he felt it was the right time for him to leave, I’ve known him since he was 17 and respected his decision.

“Femi, it was also the right time for him to move on, he’s been a fantastic servant for this football club and I wish him every success.

“Alex has been here since he was 16 and has never quite got the opportunity, hopefully he can go on and prove us all wrong, he’s got some fantastic attributes.”
