Dagenham and Redbridge are pleased to announce the signing of Jonathan Fortune

The 32 year old defender has signed a contract at the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium until the end of the season.

Jonathan came through the ranks at Charlton and had two spells at the Valley separated by a spell at Sheffield United and loan periods at Mansfield Town and Stoke City. He joined Exeter towards the end of last season and began this term at Barnet where he captained the side before the arrival of Edgar Davids. To keep himself match fit, Jonathan has been playing for Ryman League Division One North club Chatham Town.

Jonathon will wear the number 20 shirt and is eligible for our game with Barnet on Friday.

Wayne Burnett said “ Jonathan Fortune brings a vast amount of experience to Dagenham and Redbridge Football Club. We are light with defenders so he will add depth to our squad. He comes with Premiership experience and I’m sure he will be a valuable asset to the team”
