Young Defender Joins The Club On A Free Transfer

Daggers boss John Still has made his 2nd signing of the summer after snapping up young defender Andy Burns on a free transfer.

Andy has been on trial with the club over the summer and has impressed the coaching staff enough to earn a one year deal.

The Liverpool born 19 year old has been on the books of both Bolton Wanderers & Bradford City and John Still sees him as one for the future:
“We’ve taken Andrew Burns who is a young defender from Bradford, he’s been here for a few weeks and we’ve liked what we’ve seen.

We will be loaning him out where he’ll be getting some regular games, but as I say I think he’s got something about him and we think he might be able to push on like a lot of the players we have here.

He’s young, he’s ambitious, he’s worked and his working extremely hard to make a career for himself and his attitude has been first class. We wish him the best of luck here.

Andy will wear the number 25 shirt for the Daggers.
