Daggers Football to Amsterdam Success

Four representatives of Dagenham and Redbridge completed the 145 mile bike ride from London to Amsterdam at the weekend.

The ride took place on Friday 3rd June and Saturday 4th June with 350 riders representing 54 Football League clubs and the wider football family, in the hope of raising £500,000. Cycling for Dagenham and Redbridge this year was our Community Trust Manager Richard Tyne, Mark Harris; director of club sponsor Ramsey Moore, Community Coach Stacey Little and Hugh Backhouse; a year 6 teacher from Henry Green Primary School. The team are well on course to break the £5k mark!

Speaking after the event Dagenham and Redbridge Community Trust Manager Richard Tyne said, “It’s an amazing achievement to have completed the ride, it was tougher than any of us expected but it was an unforgettable experience.

“I couldn’t be prouder of our team for what they managed to accomplished and the fact it was for such a great charity makes it even more special”
