Daggers came from two goals down to beat Morecambe 4-2 in their Emirates FA Cup first round replay.
There were five changes for the visitors with Liam O’Brien taking over from Mark Cousins
and Clevid Dikamona
came in at centre back while Jamie Cureton
and Kyle Vassell were reunited in attack, having started the first game 10 days ago.
Despite the changes, Dagenham found themselves behind early on when Shrimps striker Tom Barkhuizen scored from a corner in the sixth minute.
Sixty seconds later and the visitors were two goals down when Aaron Wildig tucked home after O’Brien had saved an initial shot from Shaun Miller.
Daggers were handed a lifeline in the 13th minute when Vassell was fouled in the box by Shrimps stopper Barry Roche.
The on-loan striker dusted himself before scoring the spot kick from 12 yards to give the visitors hope of a comeback.
Dagenham felt aggrieved not to have been awarded a second spot kick eight minutes later when the ball looked to be handled by a Morecambe player in the box.
James Dunne levelled the scores for with his first goal for the visitors with a deflected volley that looped over Barry Roche in the 36th minute.
The visitors began brightly after the break and took the lead five minutes after the restart when Vassell tapped in from close range following a corner.
Dagenham did have a fourth with 20 minutes remaining in the match when Joss Labadie
curled in a superb effort from 30 yards to make it 4-2.
