Dagenham & Redbridge are still looking for a first win in the Capital One Cup after a 4-1 defeat at Championship side Charlton Athletic.
The visitors to The Valley handed a debut to Clevid Dikamona, whose signing was announced just hours before kick off.
Daggers had a good chance in the seventh minute when Nicholas Hamalainen shot from the edge of the area but into the arms of Nick Pope in the Charlton goal.
Charlton themselves went close with a free kick from Johnnie Jackson clipping the cross bar on its way over with 15 minutes gone.
And the hosts had a greater chance nine minutes later when Patrick Bauer headed back across goal but there was no one for a tap in.
The Addicks did take the lead, though, with 19 minutes remaining in the half when Tony Watt struck low past Mark Cousins
from 18 yards.
Daggers had the chance to pull one back when Joe Widdowson
crossed from the left but Matt McClure kicked the air rather than the ball as he stood on the penalty spot 11 minutes later.
The hosts doubled their lead with five minutes remaining in the opening half when Karlan Ahearne-Grant smashed home from six yards following a Cristian Ceballos cross from the left.
Charlton could have gone further clear when El-Hadji Ba shot powerfully from 20 yards but his effort smacked off the cross bar and away.
The hosts did add a third in the 56th minute when Watt played in Zakarya Bergdich, who slotted past Cousins from just inside the box.
Substitute Christian Doidge
did pull one back for Daggers, slotting home from inside the box to give them hope of a comeback.
But that was extinguished with 14 minutes to go when Charlton sub Reza nabbed the hosts' fourth.
