Dagenham & Redbridge caused a surprise at promotion hopefuls Plymouth Argyle with a 3-2 win.
Three goals in the first half proved crucial for the visitors, and they did well to hang on after the hosts clawed one back midway through the second half.
There were five changes for Daggers on the long trip south, with Josh Passley
, Dom Hyam, Ollie Muldoon, Frankie Raymond
and Matt McClure
in the starting XI.
and Matt Richards
missed out through injury, while Quade Taylor, Ashley Hemmings
and Jamie Cureton
were on the bench.
Despite a couple of good chances for the hosts early on, the visitors took the lead through Clevid Dikamona
in the 13th minute.
The defender powerfully headed home from a Matty Cash corner to score for the second straight Saturday, having netted at Leyton Orient last weekend.
Daggers were unfortunate not to be two up three minutes later when McClure shot straight at Luke McCormick from 12 yards after good work by Passley.
After that, though, it was all Plymouth until Cash scored in superb fashion to double the visitors’ advantage.
The on-loan midfielder was in a central position around 25 yards out, but he superbly found the back of the net with a curling effort.
Daggers stretched their lead to three in the 41st minute after Christian Doidge
won a free kick near the right byline.
Raymond delivered the ball in with his left foot, with the Welsh striker putting the ball into the goal.
It was a lead they took into the second half, but Cousins produced a stunning double save in the 52nd minute to keep the hosts out.
Daggers, though, were pegged back slightly in the 66th minute when Peter Hartley turned in a corner.
And their gap was down to one in the 82nd minute when Graham Carey scored via the post for Argyle.
But Daggers held on to the lead for a first win in four matches, much to the delight of the 69 away fans.
