The Daggers suffered an undeserved defeat as Billy Kee scored the only goal of the game, with only seven minutes left, giving the far travelled team the three points.
Things could have been different before half time for the Daggers, as Jamie Cureton
was unable to put in a shot from just a couple of yards away.
John Still made two changes to his starting line-up, after Tuesday night’s defeat against Oxford United.
O’Brien was forced to put Shay McCartan’s shot over the bar in the opening minutes of the game.
Cash did well to win a free kick and also deliver a good ball in for Hyam, whose header ended up being an easy catch for the Stanley keeper.
First quarter of an hour and cash found Worrals head from a corner, the ball then fell for Hyam, hitting it on the half volley and just going over the crossbar.
Hyam lost the ball to Piero Mingoia who ran into the box and saw his shot go across the goal and out for a goal kick.
23 minutes in and Labdie played Cureton through on goal, Doidge was unable to connect with the cross-goal pass.
The Daggers had their chance to get the opener just before half time. Cash was through on goal and laid it off for Cureton, waiting in the centre of the box, he was then unable to keep his first time shot down.
Billy Kee, with his back towards goal, caught O’Brien by surprise as his shot went just wide off of the far post.
Worrall was unable to clear the ball, Kee took advantage and couldn’t get his shot on target.
Still made his first substitution of the game, Jamie Cureton
came off for Matt McClure
Bravery from O’Brien as he ran out of his goal to clear the ball away from Seamous McCartan , who broke free on goal. Kee was then unable to score into the open goal as Hym was able to get in the way of the shot.
Doidge showed great skill to get past the Stanley defence, which saw him with a great chance to shoot, but his shot ended up going high and wide.
The goal then came in the 83rd minute, Kee received the ball inside the area from McConville, he then had his first attempt blocked, the ball then came back out to him and slotted it past O’Brien.
