Dagenham & Redbridge played out a goalless draw at Notts County in their latest Sky Bet League Two match
Three changes were made by the visitors for the trip to Meadow Lane, with Ashley Chambers
, Ashley Hemmings
and Christian Doidge
recalled to the starting XI.
After an even opening, Daggers defender Dom Hyam made a great last ditch challenge on Jon Stead to prevent the visitors from falling behind in the ninth minute.
Four minutes later and it was Liam O’Brien to the resuce, pulling off a top stop to deny Stead from a matter of yards.
Daggers went close in the 21st minute after Oliver Muldoon found Doidge in the area, but the Welshman’s effort with his left foot was scuffed and collected by Scott Loach.
The visitors went close through Hemmings and Josh Passley
in the following minutes before Doidge had a goal ruled out for offside in the 33rd minute.
Daggers also saw Joe Worrall head just wide from a corner three minutes later as they continued to grow into the game.
With three minutes remaining in the half, Hemmings headed a Passley cross from the right at goal, but Loach was well behind the effort.
It took until 19 minutes from time for Daggers to register their next attempt on goal, with Passley forcing Loach into a save from the edge of the area.
Chambers and Richards both hit the post late on, but Daggers were only able to cut the gap to safety to seven points.
