A late show from Daggers was not enough to prevent the visitors from slipping to a 3-2 defeat at Crawley Town.
There were two changes for the visitors with full backs Justin Hoyte and Joe Widdowson
returning to the starting line up.
Crawley fielded two former Daggers with Rhys Muprhy and Matt Harrold linking up in attack.
Murphy had Daggers worried in the 13th minute when he tried to latch onto a cross from the right but was stopped by a great tackle from Nyron Nosworthy
In the 19th minute, a marauding run from Hoyte resulted in the right back dinking the ball across goal but there was no team mate present to turn in.
Daggers continued to grow into the game and went even closer five minutes later when Jamie Cureton
just failed to turn in Josh Passley
’s cross at the back post.
That duo worked well again in the 33rd minute when Passley found Cureton again, but his shot was blocked on its way to Town keeper Darryl Flahavan.
But it was Crawley who took the lead seven minutes later when Harrold scored after Hoyte struggled the clear the ball with a header.
And on the stroke of half time, another former Dagger in Murphy headed home to double Crawley’s advantage.
Daggers nearly pulled one back in the 53rd minute when Cureton struck against the bar following a Passley cross from the right.
Twelve minutes later and the visitors were offered a glimmer hope when a quick counter following a penalty shout resulted in Christian Doidge
Murphy looked to have wrapped the game up with an effort from distance with just eight minutes remaining.
But Daggers struck back three minutes later when Cureton turned in a Passley ball from the right to set up a thrilling end.
There was to be no equaliser for Daggers, who remain 23rd in League Two.
