Daggers 0 Hartlepool 1
Dagenham and Redbridge lost at home to Hartlepool United despite having the better chances of the two teams.
To dominate a game the way the Daggers did in this one and still manage to lose is a bitter disappointment.
Outplayed Hartlepool managed just two attempts on target all afternoon. And one went in to win them the match.
The Daggers had seven or eight good openings, but failed to take any of them.
The nearest they got to a goal came when Pool defender Scott Harrison sliced the ball just over his own crossbar in a desperate attempt to clear a low cross from second half sub Jodi Jones.
Jamie Cureton had two opportunities he would normally have snapped up. This time he put one wide and the other straight into the arms of grateful keeper Trevor Carson.
Matt McClure, another second half sub, had an effort cleared off the line and that was just about as good as it got for Wayne Burnett's men.
They had more of the ball than in any other game this season. But they failed to do anything with it.
This setback leaves the Daggers in the relegation zone after seven league games without a win.
