Dagenham & Redbridge picked up their first point of the season after a 1-1 draw at Wycombe Wanderers.
There were four changes to the Daggers squad from the game against Exeter, with Luke O’Brien starting in goal and Ayo Obileye
replacing Matt Partridge
Daggers had a chance inside the first 30 seconds but Jodi Jones’ cross just went over the head of Matt McClure.
O’Brien was forced into early action two minutes later, brilliantly tipping Michael Harriman’s header over the bar for a corner.
But it was the visitors who took the lead in the sixth minute when McClure netted against his former club.
won the ball in the air, flicking on to McClure who broke past the last defender before firing past Ingram to put Daggers in front.
In the 18th minute, O’Brien was called in to action when a cross from the right drifted to Garry Thomspon at the back post.
The attacker fired low and hard at goal and O’Brien needed to be at his best to push it out of play for a corner.
thought he had made a perfect return to Daggers when he headed home an Andre Boucaud
free kick just before half time, only for the effort to be ruled out for offside.
There was a worrying moment for Daggers just after the hour mark when, following a bad challenge, Jodi Jones hobbled off injured.
McClure’s afternoon took a turn for the worse when he was sent off for a second bookable offence with 15 minutes remaining.
And the disadvantage proved costly as with time running out, Wycombe drew level from a free kick as Aaron Pierre headed home.
