The first half was quiet with few chances created, the home side came close when full back Rory McArdle fired a shot just over the bar early on in the match.
Medy Elito had their first real opportunity of te night for the Daggers when his strike was tipped onto the bar by goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin.
Within four minutes of the second half Luke Wilkinson was brought down in the box and referee Chris Sarginson pointed to the penalty spot.

It was the Daggers that did take the lead in the 69th minute, Luke Howell shot home from the edge of the box after being played in by Williams . Howell now becomes the top scoring Dagger this season with nine goals.
Alan Connell went close for the hosts to a leveller, which eventually came with four minutes remaining when substitute James Hanson finished after a cross was played into his path inadvertently by Femi Ilesanmi.
The hosts pushed for a winner and nearly got it, thankfully for the Daggers Abu Ogogo was on the line to hack the back clear.
