Luke Howell’s second half strike helped the Daggers to a 1-0 victory over Cheltenham this afternoon.
The Game started very edgy with either side managing to create much in front of goal. The Daggers edged the first half with some great link up play, particularly Sam Williams and Ben Strevens.
And it was Strevens who had the best chance of the match when a looping ball in from Howell found him at the back post but his header was well saved by Scott Brown in the Robins goal.
The Daggers had further opportunities to break the deadlock, Matt Saunders worked the ball well and gave Sam Williams the opportunity to score but his shot went wide of the post.
The Daggers took the lead in the second half after a well worked move in the 58th minute. Ogogo won the ball in midfield and slipped Sam Williams into goal, he layed the ball back to Luke Howell who brilliantly curled the ball past Cheltenham keeper Scott Brown.
The lead could have been extended when Saunders was brought down in the box by Steve Elliott and the referee pointed to the spot. Williams stepped up to take the penalty but Scott Brown saved magnificently to keep the score at 1-0
The Daggers had further chances to extended their lead, Ogogo again broke from midfield and found Sam Williams but an on rushing Brown managed to collect the ball and end the danger.
The visitors never really threaten Chris Lewington in goal however in the dying minutes Brown game forward for a corner but to no avail and the Daggers came away with all three points.
