Dagenham and Redbridge's FA Cup run came to an end before it ever really started as they came unstuck against a rampant Huddersfield Town at the Galpharm Stadium.
The writing was on the wall after just nine minutes. That's how long it took for the home side to take the lead after Robbie Williams scored from a free-kick.
Two goals halfway through the first half killed off the tie. First it was Gary Roberts headed Huddersfield to a two goal advantage before Tony Roberts was beaten again thanks to a Lee Novak strike after 24 minutes.
The Daggers looked like they would get to half time without the home team inflicting further damage. However a minute before half time Jordan Rhodes popped up with a goal to make it four to Huddersfield at the break.
Both Novak and Roberts got a second goal each during a second half where the Daggers themselves got on the scoresheet. Paul Benson netted from close range for the first goal from a visiting side at the Galpharm Stadium since August 29. But that was merely a consolation and the Daggers will have league action to focus from now on.
