In six minutes Stuart Thurgood won a good challenge and sent Paul Benson away with a raking pass that Benson drove just wide of the upright.

A 16th minute Danny Green corner was met by Mark Arber on the back post to find Antwi, but he lifted his effort harmlessly over the bar.

Benson broke away well within four minutes of the restart, fed Josh Scott, who in turn set up Peter Gain, whose goal bound shot was blocked by Thompson coming across, at the expense of a fruitless corner.

A Danny Green corner was headed across for Scott in front of goal, but his effort was also blocked and spiralled into the air for Schmeichel to palm clear.
