A Brief History
Despite only being in existence since 1992, Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club have had their fair share of highs and lows.
The Club came about following a series of mergers which saw Leytonstone, Ilford and Walthamstow Avenue form Redbridge Forest who in turn merged with Dagenham FC in 1992 to form the current club. All four had proud histories as amateur clubs in the past but due to dwindling attendances had fallen on hard times.
The Club has experienced three promotions and two relegations in its short history reaching as high as npower League one for the 2010/11 season after winning an enthralling 3-2 League 2 Play-off final at Wembley Stadium.
The Daggers have been in the Football League for eight seasons now and in April 2013 new Manager Wayne was appointed after the departure of long serving Manager John Still.
With a reputation as a friendly, family club we hope you enjoy your visit and come back soon.
